In this workshop, discover how to manipulate values to create believable drawings of shiny objects! Participants will learn a shortcut for creating value scales for reference, and then use this tool to expand their value range when drawing in order to create shiny effects.
Supplies: Pencil, white paper, eraser, a small piece of aluminum foil. If you do not have aluminum foil, a shiny spoon is an acceptable substitute. This workshop is taught via Zoom and it is important that all participants have a strong internet connection.
A Zoom link will be emailed to all participants the day before class.
*** Please note that in order to receive CTLE credit for this workshop, all participants must complete an evaluation using a provided link in order to receive their certificates. This session will be recorded and made available on SAA video channels. In order to preserve the privacy of our participants, we ask that all questions be asked via the chat feature, and an assistant will read them to the instructor to make sure all questions are answered smoothly. Recording will stop towards the end of class for participants to share their work and have discussions with each other via the video feature.
